Fantastic Weekend
And then FOUNDER'S DAY, which absolutely lived up to what everyone told me about it. I was just in such a happy place all day, and so was everyone else I was with... and despite the fact that it was "the longest day ever" (I am agreeing with Mads on this one), and I'm still confused as to how we packed in so much activity into one day, it was absolutely lovely.
And those fireworks! They were GORGEOUS! From my vantage point, it was like they were falling on my head. It was stunning; I didn't want it to end.
13 days until home.

COLLEGE: small cute animals, research papers, and humor/love/sex/death
You know what I want?
A BAG OF PUPPIEEEEES!!
I want to lie down in a small room full of two-week-old daschund puppies and have them walk into me.
So I'm writing this massive paper for a class and I'm LOVING it. Like, seriously, I'm so into this paper it's ridiculous and unnatural--but I guess I know what my major is now...
By the way, I'm in the music department's production of Dido and Aeneas, which is really awesome. You've got your humor, love, sex, death... What more do you need in a show? Seriously, though, come:
Friday 8pm
Saturday 3pm, 8pm
Sunday 3pm
See you there, or square...

A Very Sexy Weekend
Afterwards I had a photo shoot wherein I photographed my friend for Squirm. It was at times soapy, others cold, and strategically lit. Who knew the back of Kenyon has lighting perfect for nude bodies? We're proud. Look for those bad boys next year.
CHEEEAAA BIZZOOOOIIII.
Sometimes, the weekend is too short. Here's a quote from the Fred Basset comic strip quoting Samuel Butler: " All animals except man know that the principle business of life is to enjoy it" YES it's true. Possibly, arguably, true.

The Perfect Weekend
FLAWLESS. Katarina. Pointe solo. What else can I say?
CampFly on Saturday morning... Okay, so nobody can agree with me about how great this was, because NO ONE CAME. CampFly is this fundraiser that FlyPeople does annually (okay, we did it last year and this year, and both were colossal failures so I'm thinking "annually" is probably no longer accurate), and we teach dance classes for a small fee. Yeah, we ended up with six people. Money raised at the end of the day: -$40. Guess our final show this semester is going to be performed in the nude, because costume companies don't generally accept sexual favors as payment...
Then Saturday night, my friends and I decided to have a childhood games fiesta... though we did alter the rules a little to make the games a little more “grown-up” fun. Use your imagination, but let me tell you, Catchphrase has never been as fun. And neither has Truth or Dare Jenga. (Okay, sorry, we’re 13 years old still; I have no desire to grow up.)
Today, five hours of FlyPeople rehearsal, PLEASE COME TO THE FINAL SHOW APRIL 24TH AND 25TH. I may or may not have finished choreographing my piece by then, but I promise everyone else's pieces are fantastic!
And then Sunday night, we had to learn a song for which sheet music has never been written... but thanks to our resident pianist's GENIUS, we only needed two hours to learn a song - complete with harmonies - with the help of a keyboard and an iPod. If you want to hear it, come to the FWA Cabaret this Thursday at 7:30!!!
xx and notice that nowhere did I mention doing REAL work

Saturday Night
Some highlights of the night:
•Ongoing beer pong… providing lots of entertainment. Drunk boys get wayyy into it. :)
•Almost getting into a throwdown with some drunken douche who decided it was okay to give me the finger after I nicely suggested that it would be difficult to play a BP game if his cups weren’t set up.
•A few intense OT rounds.
•Barely making it to Acrop with my boyfriend…. Only to leave as soon as we got our food because the poor boy was too sick.
Oh, TH parties. Gotta love ‘em. Can’t wait for it to get warmer so we don’t all have to cram inside.
In other news… the hell known as midterms is starting. My thoughts are with you, my friends… but on the bright side- less than two weeks till Spring Break.
Peace Out Cub Scouts. <3SmartyGalPartyGal

Brawling is Good For Mental Health
I spent most of my time at NonCon events; I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl, card games, Brawl, made chain mail, Brawl, and more Brawl. I'm a little obsessed.
Despite the excitement I don't really have much to say this quiet Sunday afternoon. I'm just in a really good mental place right now.

Weekend Dance Alternatives
Happy Friday everyone.
Woke up to some seriously fat flakes falling outside of my window and figured that just to spite the weather I wwould make a list of things to do this weekend to get my lazy ass out of the dorm.
I dont know about you, but if you, like me, are still recovering from the messy dance party that was last weekend, you may want to check out some of these weekend dance alternatives:
- Dynamo Theater Lab. If you were organized enough to get a ticket, kudos to you. If not, be brave enough to beg. Friday 5pm and 9pm at the Powerhouse Theater.
- "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf." just go for the title. at the Shiva, Friday and Saturday 8pm
Theater not your thing? Then GO CHECK OUT:
-Saul Steinberg: Illuminations, at the FLLAC til Sunday. Its FREE and AWESOME and completely snob-free, and its been here for MONTHS so dont be super lame and miss it before it leaves.
-Joshua Sturm LIVE @ the Cubbyhole. 9-11pm, only a $5 donation that goes to help keep this chill little cafe open.
-BBALL: Saturday: Women play at 2pm, the Men at 4pm, go check it out. And then you can just count the trudge to Walker as your daily cardio.
-NYS Green Party Conference, 9a.m. Saturday in Rocky: go learn all things green.
-the French Faculty-Student Conference 10-4:30 in the Dodge Room at the dees. Free Food. Now go.
A bit of a random list but should promise some good times. Or you could just stay in your room all weekend watching episodes of Greys online. Up to you.
Alright, back to my paper. Have a good weekend all.
